Dates
Grizzly Hacks will be held virtually April 25-26. All projects must be completed and submitted by the end of the 24-hour period to be considered for judging.
Eligibility
Participation is open to all high school students, including rising freshmen and graduating seniors, as of the 2025–2026 academic year.
- Students may participate individually or in teams of up to four members.
- All team members must meet the eligibility criteria and be officially registered.
- Prior hackathon experience is not required.
Project and Submission Requirements
All submissions must be original and built during the 24-hour hackathon window. Projects may incorporate publicly available libraries, frameworks, or APIs. ALL PROJECTS MUST BE DONE WITHIN TIMEFRAME, ANY PROJECTS THAT DO NOT FOLLOW THIS, WILL BE DISQUALIFIED!
Each submission must include:
- A link to a GitHub repository containing the source code
- A short written explanation of the project, including its purpose, key features, and technologies used
- An optional demo video (maximum 2 minutes) is encouraged but not required
All submissions must be made through the official submission platform by the posted deadline. Late entries will not be accepted.

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
Projects will be evaluated by a panel of judges based on the following criteria:
1. Impact & Accessibility Value (25%)
2. Functionality & Technical Implementation (25%)
3. User Experience & Accessibility-First Design (25%)
4. Innovation & Creativity (25%)
Judges will review all eligible submissions and select winners based on overall performance across these categories. Final results will be announced within a few days following the conclusion of the event.
